Make time or spin the wheel endlessly

This is a follow up to the last post, you can find it here.

Just to brag, one day I woke up at 5AM just to hit the gym. Are you obsessed at this point to crush what you want?

Literally. I hadn’t much time this day so I decided to wake up 1 hour earlier than usual just to lift weights. When you are obsessed you don’t skip a day.

You make time

If I skip a day, I lose. And so are you.

But you don’t see it this way.

Many people think that skipping a day leg day/commitment/writing day is normal.

It’s not!

If you still believe that it’s okay to play the average dude, read this article. Over and over until you truly believe that what you are doing isn’t worthy of any kind of respect.

Being average sucks.

Being average sucks.

Being average sucks.

Print this in your mind.

If that doesn’t sink in your soul, write some lines.

Write it again and again when you wake up.

Believe this because there is no other reason to succeed.

Feeling comfortable day long isn’t okay.

Doing random shit isn’t okay.

Why you must make time or time will eat you up

You are alive 16 hours per day.

Chances are that you work 8 of them

You eat/cook 2 of them

Let’s say that you have “things” to do for 2 other hours

  • Distraction
  • Shower
  • Quick talk
  • Phone
  • Games
  • Meditation – I’m sure that you don’t practice

You have 16-8-2-2=4 hours left to do whatever you want to!

What do you do with 4 hours per day everyday?

The average guy will obey his principles. He will do nothing.

The successful dude will use this time to hit the gym and build a business.

If that’s not the case, then he has greater/personal goals which is amazing in itself.

The future millionaire isn’t locked to his screen. He doesn’t play games when he has 30 minutes of spare time. Fuck no. He writes, thinks, reads.

He does something meaningful in the real world.

Days are shockingly short

And you keep wasting a lot of time!

How is that even possible?

And then you come here and complain!

Nerdow, how is that possible to come up with so much time to work on my craft?

I don’t have time “cry

You have 4 hours per day of free time.

It’s normal to have no time if all you do is…

  • Watching the TV
  • Looking at girls on Facebook
  • Scrolling on Twitter
  • Swiping on Tinder
  • Playing LoL
  • Complaining about life
  • Texting
  • And more that I don’t want to imagine

It’s normal.

All these activities take time. A lot of time. More, once you are in the deadly spiral of wasting time, then it’s harder to get out of this.

  1. Meditating is okay
  2. Writing is okay
  3. Scheduling your day is okay
  4. Resting is okay

Burning your energy on crap isn’t okay.

Even top players like Elon Musk or Warren Buffet have the time to read books. You know, the thing that you replaced with TV.

It’s time to take your life seriously by applying extreme ownership.

  • If you aren’t doing what you enjoy, why are you doing it?
  • Why do you watch the TV? To entertain yourself? To make more money to the TV presentators?

Writing is also entertaining and will teach you how to manage your time.

Deadlines are powerful. Just set them up and your productivity will skyrocket. Once you get started it’s easy to remain in the flow. While it’s harder and harder to get distracted.

When I write an article, I only write an article. I don’t read something, I don’t watch a video, I don’t use my smartphone, I don’t look at the weather. All I’m allowed to do is to write and drink coffee/tea. That’s all.

Why is that tough to get started?

You never get started. It’s the problem.

Often times you get lost in your day-dreams. You “want” to do something. You want to become a millionaire. You want to invent a new machine. You want to build a start-up.

But you aren’t obsessed about it. That’s why it will never be realized!

When you think about something. When you get an idea, capture it.

Don’t day-dream about it. That’s called masturbation.

If you want it to happen – Whatever you want

Then get obsessed about it.

I’m writing a course on how to build an audience on quora. It takes me a lot of time.

That’s why I wake up at 6AM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and some Saturday.

There are no excuses. Simply 1 hour of Nerdow’s owner on the computer, writing some more words to my story.

Nothing else, except me and my computer.

That’s how I move ahead, that’s why I can write articles + answers on quora + my book while being an engineering student.

I have friends with the same schedule as I have which can’t do as much as I am doing with so little time.

That’s because I’m efficient. That’s because I set priorities and never fall behind them.

If I tell that I will wake up earlier to write, I do it.

Similar for the first example where I woke up earlier to lift.

If you want something, it’s not enough.

You have to be obsessed about it to the point that you can lift a mountain just to start the work.

If you don’t create your time, you will never have enough of it.

Prepare and schedule.

Set some hours in your days only dedicated to your big projects – An article is coming on how to manage goals, stay tuned in.

With just 1 hour per day dedicated to your craft, you will improve/follow up very quickly.

You don’t need much more.

Plus, you have the weekend. 2 Full days without any obligation to do what you are obsessed about.

Truly, that’s impossible to find excuses when you know that you have 4 hours of free time per day + 10 hours per day on the weekend.

The only excuse that you can come up with is the worst…

I’m a loser

I’m average

If that’s the case, congratulation. You just assumed it.

Now you have 2 choices. Either you get your ass of and you build something.

Or stay a loser. If you want to stay a loser, go away. You have nothing to do here as the content is surely inappropriate for you.

If you can’t make 10 hours per week to work on your projects, you are a loser!

10 hours per week = 520 hours per year. What can you do with this?

  • Build a business
  • Create a successful blog
  • Learn how to sell
  • Read 52 books
  • Become an internet personality
  • Become a consultant
  • Set a successful fiverr account

520 hours is a lot of time. If you aren’t capable of changing them to useful opportunities, then you are losing your time.

No excuses.

If you can’t keep up with our pace, it’s simply because you are a loser. Or because you aren’t obsessed about your goal.

Make time or spin the wheel endlessly

If you don’t make time for yourself and your goals, you will lose a lot.

Time is powerful, only when well consumed.

If you don’t concentrate it on a goal, then you are spinning the wheel endlessly, like a domesticated hamster.

When you have a lot of time but do nothing, you get bored. When you are bored, all your objectives break at the same time. You lose your energy.

Most people prefer to spin the wheel – I.e. all the crappy activities that I already mentioned too many times.

They are happy because when they spin the wheel it’s entertaining and easy. Who can’t spin a wheel?

Well, putting your time on a pedestal tells that using your time efficiently is the best way to get things done.

In a nutshell:

  • Make time
  • Develop productive habits
  • Build what you want during this time
  • Get successful

That’s all there is to know about your time.

If you are obsessed about something, then you will take the time to do it.

  • You will wake up earlier to have an extra hour
  • You will achieve on your smartphone at the midday break
  • You will do your other tasks more efficiently to have more time for your business
  • You will remove your useless time-wasting activities
  • You will sleep later because you have a business to mount

Now just do it.

Make time, apply and profit.
